Default front end vibration

I have noticed lately that I am getting a lot of vibration when I am using the front brakes. bike is a 2012 SG with about 15000 miles on it. I am thinking the rotors might be warped? haven't checked them yet, but just figured I would check and see if any one has had these problems too. Thanks in advance.

I have herd about this on newer bikes. It's a warped rotor due having a hard stop and not releasing your brakes. The brakes heat up and on cool down the brake calipers are still locked and cool slower causing the warp.

Hope this helps

check your rotors for oil, rust, brake fluid or scoring. If any of these are on 1 area it will cause the vibs as the brakes catch, then slip.

Agreed....... I warped the rotor on my softail deluxe a few years ago, city riding, lots of braking...... Rotor was hot, then hit a puddle...... Cold water+hot rotor=WARPED

It pulsed every time I slowed down ...... Still seemed safe, but I replaced it after a couple of weeks

Check for this first and before spending any money. It's free and won't take long! Use white spirit sparingly on a rag or kitchen tissue, to wipe both sides of the braking area and repeat until clean. If the problem is improved, remove and clean the pads themselves as well. If all else fails, then new rotors it is!

When I had vibration on my front brake, turned out to be bad wheel bearings.
