What's your first advertising memory with HD?

In Decemeber 1968, I was a pubescent 14 yr old with pimples, oily skin and an infatuation with motorcycles. I read and re-read every Cycle magazine until it was dog eared. I had little knowledge of Harley Davidson until this issue came out. I drooled and had wet dreams over the Sportster pictured on the cover. Obviously I had no idea what the significance was of the female standing next to the bike.
Owning a HD was out of the question and I had to settle for a '68 Yamaha 100 as my first bike.

 

Nice flash back to what riding b is really about, imo. Wish this was what was advertised now.

I say keep it up. Love those old ads showing average folks like me riding.

Back in '99 I really liked the 'My older brother has a Harley. Mom told me his name is Dave' ad. Cut it out from the bike magazine and decorated my desk at work.
