Default My 1st Official winter thread

Had the bike all Winterized, Then it warmed up the previous three days. I have to confess, I weakened and rode about another 250 miles.

*(a Winter Thread is when we can't ride but have more time to post, so just have some FUN with your post)! We all need a good laugh during the storage months ..

Now, my questions are -

Can we actually Winterized our bikes Twice in the same yr?. Do I dare add another 1 1/2 oz of Sta-Bil to the new tank full of gas Without fear of Voiding the @Warranty?... which I don't have..

Has the new oils collected too much moisture and have to be changed again?
This includes the turn signal oils also...

Do I need to wipe all the bugs off her again or will they slide off since I'd just waxed the bike the week before?

Thanks for any help you can give,,,

Now,,, if I only knew how to winterize my Sunglasses and Helmets.. Oh well that's for a later Thread.....

Just shrink wrap it; it will be fine.

Well I see the sarcasm here so I'll save the rant about the 100 bike winterization threads lol.

But on the other hand I'll play along a little. I think the best thing to do is get a good electric blanket to throw over the bike. This can prevent pneumonia and repel moisture

Wow, You messed up bad.

I think you're going to have to ride it until you've burned up all that Sta-Bil gas, then start the entire winterizing process all over again.

Tom, the forums is no place for sarcasm or levity of any kind. Now put your bike up until the spring thaw. And send me your keys, to keep temptation down.

What the .....? Winter already? I should come up with a new line of clothes called "Never Winter".
As far as storing your bike and gas, just make sure you fill up with top tier fuel. No additive will be needed. Or do like I do, stop by your local airport and fill it up with 100LL. No crap in their gas.

Instead of shrink wrap, you can use the Harley bubble. Less plastic to put in the waste stream, and if the Ebola epidemic reaches your neighborhood you can use it to protect yourself

Hmmmmmmmm, it seems to me that I've heard a certain young person would sometimes tell others that if they had any questions that using Google was a good way to find the answers, Have you tried that?

This is not right....THIS IS NOT WINTER!!! We have about 6 more weeks before winter gets here. I'm in Michigan and mine is not put away yet!!! Although I will bow down to the snow God weekend of November 15 to beg for a short winter. And save money so I can pay my wife off for making her suffer through my withdrawls.
First Winter Post My A$$.....
