Default H-d narrow profile primary cover

I just notice that the MOCO is now selling a "Narrow Profile Primary Cover" part # 25700385. It is standard equipment on the Ultra Classic Low and the Ultra limited Low models. It will allow your leg easier reach the ground on the left side of the bike. Anyone have any experience with this. Does it help? The pictures on the Harley's website doesnot show what the differents will be.

I have one on order for my Limited. Once I install it, I will let you know!

I have sat on a Limited Low, and my left leg did have a more direct path to the ground.

I sat on a Low. Did notice the bike felt much more narrow. Hard to tell if it was the seat or the narrow primary. If you got the $, it certainly cant hurt. I hope that they just make it standard on all bikes soon.

I purchased a 15 limited low. The primary does make a difference for leg clearance. My opinion, I like the narrower engine.

if you get the narrow primary, be aware that a standard derby cover does not fit. it has it's own dedicated derby cover. so if you have a cool aftermarket one, sorry.....

Did you ever get your primary installed, I have 14 street glide and ordered one.. The dealer said it wouldn't fit something to do with clutch.. Just trying to get some clarification, since on Harley website it says it fits all 14 models

Just installed one on my 12 Street Glide. It definitely makes a difference. Not a huge one, but I'm not very tall so I'll take what I can get when jockeying around an 800lb bike. As previous poster mentioned, the derby cover from the original will not fit, (of course), so you'll need to factor that in to your decision. Personally, I'd recommend.
