Default Carlini Bag Drag Handlebars

I'm looking at getting a set of Carlini Bag Drag bars for my non CVO Breakout. I've searched and read threads and I've emailed Carlini. Still haven't really got the answer so I will ask here.

Carlini's website states several specs for the bag drag bars but not the clamp area size. I would like the bars to be black and need the clamp area to be 1.25" as I would prefer to not use an adaptor between the handlebars and clamp. Pictures on their site of any 1.25" bars appear to step down at the clamp area so they are probably 1" clamp area size. I would like 1.5" bars anyways but the pictures of those don't seem to have a smaller clamp area.

So long story long anyone who has Carlini Bag Drags do you know what size clamp area yours have? If you have 1.5" bars do they step down for the clamp area? Does Carlini offer the bag drag bars in 1.5" black with a 1.25" clamp area? Thanks.

Disregard this. Carlini has replied to my email. Looks like there is no version of the bag drag with a 1.25" mounting area. So adapter or no fit at all.

Edit: If anyone has their 1.5" bag drag bars in black can you please confirm the mounting area size? If it's 1" I can purchase an adapter and make it work. Thank you.

Get a 1.5" clamp for the bars and be done with it.

+1 on this. I'll be doing a set of carling freeways in the near future. I've decided to just get 1.5 risers for the 1.5 bars instead of messing with 1.25 and an adapter. It's really not much more money to get what you really want since the stupid adapter is around 80 or 90 dollars. Why Carlini only makes their 1.25 bars with a 1 inch step-down is beyond me. It seems like so many modern Harleys come with 1.25 inch diameter bars and risers that it would be a no brainer at this point.

Little more difficult or costly for me to change my clamp and risers as I have a Breakout which has the speedo mount built into the top clamp. Found an adapter for fairly cheap and will probably go that route.

semi-necroing this thread. What kind of adapter did you end up going with? Really interested in the carlini bars, but the black ones are clearly too big. Any photos of the finished product?

Wild 1 makes an adapter that fits around a 1" handlebar grip area and makes it a 1.25" total.

IMO pull back bars are about the only mod necessary to make the non CVO Breakout an awesome bike. Hope you find what you are looking for!!!
