Are you trying to say I ought to stock up on spare part while the stocking is good? No 22 bullets and now no Harley parts!? Must be the republicans!?

While I'd agree the "outlaw" category may be a bit overplayed, the inner anarchist in everyone will always exist... no matter what age rides.
As an example, I'm torn between wanting a half fairing for my Street Bob yet not buying one. Call me a ***** but I refuse to buy one simply BECAUSE of a show like "Sons of Anarchy". Call me the anti-poser, poser... because a part of me could give a monkeys left ******** what people think, the other part of me doesn't want (me) to look anything like what may be popular. I get over it real quick in functionality versus personality but still the thought lingers.
Throughout all of it, no matter whether the "outlaw" perception still exists, the inner-anarchist in all of is will always remember Harley for what it stands for... freedom. Whether it be on two wheels or two feet. Don't tell me what to do.

HD is not going anywhere. The sales figures show consistent growth. And even if things level off, selling 240,000 to 275,000 bikes a year and all the parts and accessories will insure HD is around for a long time.

All businesses have up and down cycles, pardon the pun, but I have to think the 'younger' set that is currently riding metric and 'sportier' bikes will mature and want a more 'traditional' riding experience, i.e., touring and road riding. Again, just my opinion.
