The Journey or the Destination?

The Journey or the Destination?
For those that travel on their bikes.
Do you do it for the journey or the destination?
It has always been the journey for me.
I never found any real adventure at any destination.
(Including Sturgis. The best part of Sturgis is the ride there)
It's not in me to stop and look around or smell the roses.
I have much more fun and relaxation chasing the sun.
Miles and miles of highway turn my crank.
What about everyone else?
No right or wrong answer, we are all motivated differently.

I agree ... the journey is generally much better than the destination ... I don't do it quite as quickly as you do though

It depends on the destination. Most of the time it's the journey but on trips where there's good riding on the other end, the destination is just as fun.

The journey for me. However, running 80 miles an hour on the superslab for 15 hours is not the journey I want. The most I've done in one day was 875 and that's 'cause I wanted to get home after a two week trip. In that case, it was the destination.

Remember my friend, some riders set their GPS so they stay OFF the super slab so now they take country roads / all side roads. Or u mix it up. Just a thought.........

98% of the time it's about the journey...just going for a great ride for an hour or a week...no schedule...no specific route...stopping wherever I feel like it along the way. But 2% of the time I just want to get to a destination...nothing fun about droning down I-95 to get to Daytona IMO...I just want to get there. I got into bikes years ago just for the escape of riding...not to get anywhere in particular.

If I don't have a place to go, I won't go. But that "place" can be the shop...indie or HD...or a biker bar that's 2 hours away, just to get a coke.
