Switched Power for GPS - Which Fuse
Hi Guys, I am going to use a fuse tap to get 1 amp for my GPS. Which fuse would be the safest to use for this draw. I have a 2008 Sportster. I don't want to use the battery tender method. Also, there is an accessory plug on the Sportster under the seat but its not switched power.

Thanks!

I found Harley's install instructions for the zumo GPS. They say to tap any orange/white wire from the main harness under the seat. I think that means use the Accessory fuse. Thanks

I hardwired a usb cable for my Garmin GPS to my Harley. I connected it directly to the battery using an inline fuse and a switch. That way I did not have to splice any wires and I can now control whether it is on or off. Now I can charge my GPS/Phone while the bike is off if I want.

Battery tender makes an adapter. Plugs in where your tender does. USB on other end. Might work for your intended use. Sorry, nevermind.
