Default I have a raingear question

Planning a trip, and need to get raingear. I am concerned about sizing.

Do you wear your raingear over your leathers or do strip your leathers off and then put your gear on?

Mine fit over. Don't think it would be a good idea for them to not fit over.
Reasons:
In a lot of cases wet means colder.
Where to put the leathers when on the road?
The quicker I can put the rain gear on, the more likely I am to pull over and do it rather than toughing out a "short downpour."

Make sure you get the breatheable type with pit zips.

That is what I am thinking. I would rather have it go over my leathers.

I have 2 types. Thin small packing that go over my leathers and a pair of pants that are thick, insulated, armored, etc... that I wear instead of leather pants. My leather jacket is waterproof so I don't wear a rain coat.

some good search material. over, only use the rain pants over chaps if cold and only use the rain jacket if to hot to wear leather jacket(fairly waterproof enough even in downpore).

Buy it to fit over your leathers. It will still work without the leathers under it if it is warmer weather. Buy quality rain gear so it will not flap around in the wind. I have the Harley Overpass and it fits well either way. Somewhat pricey but if you are travelling or have to be riding in really heavy rain it is worth the price.

I went with the Overpass II's. Breathable and waterproof, fitted to go over my leathers. You can figure rain usually means coolness, and on a bike that can be uncomfortable, imho. Also, don't forget footwear. A set of gaiters will do ya well. If you go to http://www.chicagoharley.com/shop/ you will get 20% off their lower price, or call Jenny @ http://www.charlieshd.com/aboutus.asp, tell her you're from this forum and you will get a good discount there as well. If you call Jenny you will need HD part numbers...[sm=proof.gif]
