Default Motorcycle ride yesterday, snow blower today!

Yesterday, as the weather system bringing us 6-10" of snow was moving in, the temperatures reached mid-30's+ and calm. I took one of the bikes out for a spin, just because! I was the only bike on the road. The looks I got from some of the other drivers were priceless! 3 hours later, it started snowing.

I just got in from clearing snow, which is still falling, and drifting to about 18" deep. It's around 20° and 20-25mph winds. What a difference a day makes!

At least, unlike last winter, I have so far been able to ride at least a little every month this time around!

At least you know when winter is. We've had mid 70s last week, then 2 days of rain and it's supposed to drop down into the low 40s.

Did the same thing. Put about 90 miles on my bike Friday. Temps were in the mid 40's so took off early from work and went for a ride. 24 hours later 4" of snow and 9 below zero (actual not windchill). Oh well, each day is a little closer to spring!

Same here. I did get 105 miles in the rain yesterday. Even I won't go out in the 11 inches of snow we just finished getting. Since it is going to drift in the next two day, the roads won't be ready. Did get 2,300 miles for Jan but this first week of Feb. looks bleak.

I have several upgrades to do. Now it looks like I will have the time to do them. I hate to pass up burning cheap gas though.

Pulled my bike out of the shop yesterday, went up and down the street a few times(no insurance ). At least 4 inches of snow today.

We are getting whacked right now, and there's plenty of snow on the ground from the last storm.

But its funny, because the last time I rode, 3 weeks ago, I think, it actually started to snow while I was still washing my bike. Had to roll her into the garage to dry her off. But it felt good to be out, so that's all that matters.

I do not miss riding in cold weather anymore. Did it for many years & then relocated down here to the SW Florida Gulf coast 6yrs now. 12months of warm riding weather, barring the rainy days.

I rode 120 miles on wednesday as the temp got to 70. This morning it is 6 above. Kansas weather this time of year changes hourly. It is supposed to get up to 54 tomorrow and back into the 60's in the next week. At 74 years old and retired I pick my days.
