Default Chrome Capital Leasing

I have been seeing on Facebook a page for Chrome Capital. They are offering 2,3, and 4 yr leases on used Harleys. Anyone ever heard of them. I'm not interested , I bought a new bike in 2013 . Just curious.

Biggest pitfall of leasing is you can't mod the bike and you won't have any equity in it.

I have friends who ride metric bikes because they can't afford a Harley. Might be an option for them. Is this a new business?

I lease thru Chrome. Two years and the dealer said i could do anything I wanted to the bike, especially since I plan to keep it when the lease is up.

I've been thinking about leasing for a long time. Would you be willing to give me some insight on the payment difference between financing and leasing?

Hard to say for sure, but if this leasing place is similar to car leasing, the monthly payment difference can be significant.

Leasing is essentially financing the estimated depreciation of the item during the lease term. Lots of different ways to set that up so it's hard to know specific dollar amounts unless you talk to the leasing people. Then compare that deal to an outright purchase.

At the end of the lease you may pay less but you have to either turn the bike back in or purchase it. Standard financing you own the bike when the loan is paid, and if you keep it you will have no further payments.
