Default Rain gear advice

I have a Harley rain suit. The jacket is fine but the pants drive me nuts. I have not really inspected a lot of suits but I assume with a need to get the pants over boots the legs open wide and then are narrowed by some sort of closure system. My pants fold over on the side to take up the slack and then Velcro is supposed to hold that fold. Well it doesn't and they naturally flap in the wind and drive me nuts. What's out there that doesn't have this problem? I would rather deal with having to take my boots off and on, on the side of the road, then deal with what I have presently. Thanks in advance for the replies!!

are you talking about the packable rain suit? have the same issues....not a problem for me. small price to pay to keep dry in my book. sure there are other, better rain suits, but find one with all your features that pack up small and take little room. i would love to know who makes it!!!

I guess it depends on which HD set you have. My first HD set was junk so I bought the best one they have and keeps me bone dry. Also bought the gaiters and as long as I have sense enough to put the stuff on before it rains I am good to go. I have known people with frog togs and nothing but complaints barring one poster here. Tour Master is supposed to be decent stuff and reasonably priced but I have no first hand experience with it. Nelson Riggs may also be worth looking in to. I have a couple of their items and good quality.

My advice, pull over and wait it out if it's too heavy. Florida riders used to the rain, we sometimes look for that rain clud just to cool off and hone our skills but we all know too heavy for too long and it's time to sit it out.

Rain gear: seat cover for tha leather seat, another for that open breather, and a small tarp to cover you're butt while you're waitin it out...lol

My TourMaster Defender is the best suit I have ever found. Several years old and not easy to find anymore. It is a 2 piece and you could buy jacket and pants separately or together at the time. It is easy to put on and take off. Has all the options I wanted and packs down small into a small pouch that comes with it. it is about 8 or 10 inches square and only a couple inches thick when properly packed. I have seen them on amazon still for between $80-$100

I carry two plastic grocery sacks. put one over boot and pant slides right on. take sack off. other foot. good to go. guess you could leave sack on for water protection.
