Default Honey I'm home

Hello,

Yesterday my bike finally arrived. I purchased the bike roughly one month ago from a dealer in Arkansas. After my original shipping arrangements fell through , I use Keyboard Shippers. As my luck would have it, it had been raining all day. We unload the bike and the security system was preventing the bike from starting. The driver from Keyboard said call the dealership and ask for the code that disable the security system. The code that they provided didn't work. The driver in my mind went above and beyond his what I expected. He showed that he cared and that he wanted to get me up and running. After working with me for over an hour he eventually left. Without his help and knowledge of Harley's I would have been lost. Once I replaced the batteries in the FOB and jumped my bike it started. I enjoyed my very first ride in the rain

Nice looking bike.

I'm impatient. Can't imagine waiting a month rather than driving out to get it.

Nice looking bike.
I suggest that you get the correct code to disable the security system in case you needed out on the road. Carrying and extra battery for the FOB is good idea but it will not work if FOB is lost somehow.

At least you got that 'learning experience' out of the way while you at home and not stuck somewhere 'bad' in the middle of the night. Your experience should also give you incentive to learn how to set the code, to something of your choice, and learn the override procedure.

I had just hurt my back, a 2400 mile trip was out of the question. Waiting was not easy for me.

Waiting would have driven me crazy, too. At least you got it going once you did get it.
Be safe and take care of your back.
