hola cholas! and everyone in between ;)
Hello ladies and gents. I am finally getting a motorcycle. Ive rode bikes all my life but never had the $$ till now. Im 5'5'' I was wondering what are some good questions to ask when buying a used motorcycle from a private owner or business?
I am looking at this sportster 883 because of my height and weight. i have pic of it but im not sure how to upload it. :/
What bikes do yall recommend ? I dont want anything under 800cc

Have a look at the Softtail Slim. I think it might be the lowest seat height. There are also a few Sportster Super Lows.
When I look at a bike I want to know the following:
1. Are there any leaks, oil, etc?
2. How many miles are on it?
3. Are the maintenance records available?
4. Is it due for maintenance? When was the last tune up?
5. Look over the bike carefully for any visible flaws.
6. How does it sound? Start it up and listen to it.
7. How does it ride? Take it for a test ride.
8. Ask if there are any known issues.
9. Do an internet search to see if there are common problems with that year and model.
10. What is the going price? Is the asking price fair and is it negotiable?
11. How do the tires look?
12. Do all of the features work?
Those are off the top of my head. I'm sure the mechanically inclined folks can add much more. If it's an 883 you are after, that's cool, don't forget to sit on a bunch of models to see what you like.
