Default HD Paint colour

I'm confused with this. I've had 3 Harley's. 1.) Vivid Black Dyna superglide custom with grey engine. 2.) blue / silver softail custom and 3.) chrome metal flake breakout. I'm now thinking I've chosen the least popular colours after seeing used prices. So what are the most desirable colours on what model? I didn't like my superglide or my ST custom. But I love my BO. Is black the most popular colour for all Harley's?

Not only is black the most popular, but it's also the fastest.

I don't know why anyone would ride a black bike. but yes its the cheapest and the slowest. if you have a rare color. the paint will be very hard to match or find(trust me on this). also there is about a 2k mark up on the bike just because of the color. and if its not a paint the factory does itself they will stop making color match parts after about 3 years. but you will always be able to get black lol

as to your comment about least popular colors I dont think its that. I think it has to do with how many of the bikes got painted that color. like with my bike they only did like 7000 I think. that's just streetglides. not counting the softails or the ultras they did. so in the grant scheme that's not a lot of bikes. and the bikes like mine im seeing up for sale are still getting sold for just under new msrp

Just looked on eBay UK and noticed the amount of Breakouts for sale with hardly any miles on the clock in green, blue and silver/grey. One is a 15 plate for £13,995! That's cheap! No takers yet and been on a while. IMHO I think it's colour.

Black is universal. Colors are pretty much person specific. That bike you mention is a pretty wild combo that only the right person is gonna want. Anyone can do anything with a black bike.

I'm a anything but black guy, but it I also depends....
