Default Any opinions on pinstripe decals

Love my new M8 but Vivid Black is kinda plain. I've seen some decal sets that look pretty nice but wonder how they will hold up even with the bike mostly garaged. I like the idea of a stick-on because I can change it but some of these run $200 a set so probably wouldn't be doing that too much. So I would appreciate some feedback negative or positive. TIA.

Black Harley's are always faster than say my fruity blue and silver RK. And those fake flame scooters,,,, they all have the same flames. They are moped fodder.

Do some decals or hell go for some wrap action. Or paint the tin in a peel off paint to change it up.

It will always be a evil fast black bike.

Have Fun

Didn't even know you could get decal sets for a bike. I love vivid black even though it gets A LOT of negative reviews here on the forums (especially vivid black SG's). Maybe these decal sets would help dress up a bike and/or separate "another black SG" from the crowd...dunno? But I couldn't do it. I just like vivid black too much!

I know a custom bike builder who will custom paint me a full on custom bike for $4000. Before I decided on laguna orange I thought about buying a black bike (less money) and have a custom job done to it. The cost between black and laguna orange I could have made up half the cost. O well, maybe next time.

Only Posers put decals on their bikes. Have it done properly.

Why not get some pin stripe tape and do some conservative outline stripping.
Get a medium to dark gray or silver and try it. I put some on my bike probably 5 years ago and it's still there like the day I did it. The bike has been through some heavy downpours for hours without issue.

I suggest you find a 'Professional' pinstripe guy. Good luck.

Don't know anything about decal sets but there are some threads here where a member has added pinstripes to his Black RG and I thought it looked good.

Here is one of his threads where he has about $10 in Vinyl Pinstriping and an hour of time. There are examples in the thread of others here who have done the same. Later in the thread Womack decided to go a different way and removed the red Pinstriping and went with Carbon Fiber pinstripes

Thanks to all and especially Mxdad for the interesting link. I think that vinyl pinstriping might be worth a shot. I'm sure painted would look better but I don't want permanent at this time.
