Default Lost right leg

Got into accident May 31 with the road king. After 3 months of trying to save my right leg I could not take the Doctors and being in the hospital any more. The Doctors ( we can try this ) witch means more time in the hospital and delays in getting on with life. I Just said take the leg and lets move on. So after that its healing time and then get set up for the prosthetic leg. It was a tuff decision to make but maybe by November I will be walking again. I will sell the road king and the street glide and hopefully next year buy a trike be back on the road again.

Damn! Hate that things went that way. Good luck with your recovery and purchase of the Trike. Will say a prayer for you

Almost lost my left one last year. Started wondering if it was gonna be worth it also. Sometimes it still hurts, and doesn't work right, so I can sympathize. Sorry yours didn't turn out as well. Have them install a beer holder on it. Keep the faith, you will adapt.

Good luck! You can still ride two wheels if you set it up right. You can start here.

Positive thoughts and prayers headed your way. A good friend ( Iron worker ) fell and became a paraplegic a few years ago. We now have him back in the wind. He's on a trike and while it takes some help to get him "situated" on it,he's livin' large and the smiles are huge. Good Luck.

I hate to hear this but glad that you are on the road to recovery. I didn't lose a leg but neither of mine work from the knees down. This is due to a spinal cord injury nearly 20 years ago when a lady "didn't see me".

I have to wear braces on my legs because there is no movement or feeling but I still ride.

Keep up the good work and keep that positive attitude!

Sorry to hear about your leg that really sucks, best of luck to you moving forward. Just so you know we will have our automatic transmission out in about a year. No clutching, no shifting fully automatic. So if you can hold up a two wheeler you can ride it.

There's always this idea if you want to stick with your bike, probably cheaper than a Trike to.
