I had a bird, a crow I think hit me square in the throttle hand a few years back. It didn't break any bones (on me) but it hurt like hell. Crow guts, blood and feathers all over everything as well.
Fist sized rock to the left kneecap. That one took some doctoring.
The upper grill out of a Weber BBQ grill that was in the back of a pickup going the other direction. Took that one in the face. It just about unseated me.
Most painful thing to hit me while I was "riding" was a seagull...and that thing cut my scalp pretty good. Was along a beach, flying low...crossed paths. Shortly after saw red...blood running down my head 'n face. Dunked head in the ocean water to rinse'clean it up. Neck hurt dang good for a few days from the impact.
had some bat or bird fly out from a wood line, right in my path and hit me right in the chest doing about 60 on some country roads. hurt like hell and knocked the wind out of me.
While doing 75mph on the highway, a large raven clipped the upper left side of my 1/2 helmet. If I didn't see it coming I probably would have been better off but the head jerk reflex action of trying to avoid the impact, made it worse I think. I made it to the shoulder of the road and shook it off, not feeling like I had any major damage. It was the next morning when I woke up and couldn't move my head without excruciating pain. The bird didn't survive and I had a sore neck for several days.
