Default NGK Iridium spark plugs

I went to Advance Auto for a set of plugs and the guy behind the counter had to go in the back to pick them off the shelf. He comes out with 4 plugs and starts ringing me up. I told him I only needed 2 and he said "sorry bout that, I thought Harleys took 4 plugs". So I went ahead and bought 2 plugs and headed home. So after I get home I start thinking if the guy didn't even know Harleys take 2 plugs could he have also gave me the wrong plug too? So I jump on Amazon and look them up and use the parts look up button on Amazon and it says they do not fit a 2007 FXDB Street Bob. Now I know Amazon has been wrong before so I guess my question is do any of you know if a NGK Iridium IX (DCPR7EIX 6046) will fit a 2007 Street Bob. Also do any of you run them in your bike and whats your opinion of them?

Ok, a word of advice from a 50+ year mechanic. Everyone should get a jar of anti-seize and put a little on the threads of your spark plugs. Think about it -- if the plug gets stuck from being in there for a long time, the threads of the plug is steel and the threads in your head are aluminum. Which one will give up if the plug gets stuck? With anti-seize, it won't get stuck!!! Remember--- a LITTLE goes a long way--- don't give it a bath. Tip of the week-- lol

Use the "Part finder" link ontop of the NGK page.

To my knowledge they don't have an Iridium plug for motorcycles they aren't designed for it..

It's not needed anyways, overkill, even HD's high compression plug isn't needed with a stock engine,,

They caused my 02 Road King to throw a check engine light at about 70 mph. After tolerating it for 6 months, I randomly stopped by a dealership on a road trip. Changed the plugs in the parking lot and never saw the CEL again.

I ran those plugs until my next maintenance and replaced them with standard champions. Made no difference at all.

Do yourself a favor and return them. Then go somewhere else to buy plugs for your bike or get OEM plugs from the Dealer.

Buy the standard plug from Harley. They last forever but 10K is a good ballpark since you do not want them to stick. Do not clean. REPLACE. Harley's ping systems uses the resistance and even the NGK that is the same as a Harley plug is off. I ran them and they did fine but I run flat country and never WOT or drive it hard. Use Iridium plugs for cars that go 100K between changes. However, I have a Honda with 200K on them and they run fine.
Do not fall for the bigger spark BS. My two set at 10K each. Think the knuckle head had 4 plugs. Probably one of the Harley engineers was from Datsun Motors

Gotta love some of the *** clowns that work at some of the parts stores. The Auto Zone near me must put out want ads for prior felons, DB's and people that haven't mastered the queens english.

Standard plug from HD, nothing else compares. Quite a few articles on the web as to why.

I just replaced mine with stock plugs from my local HD dealer. They were less than $10 OTD for the two of them. Changed them in about 5 minutes at home. BTM
