I quite literally met America, at the dealer today...
And I was in awe.......
Our local dealership is having an event today with a band, vendors, ect. A group of us stopped by, and there was a Big Bird Rescue Group there. One of the birds of prey they had was a rescued Bald Eagle. Yeah, Americas symbol of freedom! Apparently at about a years age, some bag of human filth shot this beautiful animal. When it was found, they had to remove part of its wing and it has been in the shelter ever since. Due to its excellent nature, they take this Eagle to various events to meet and be shared with people. I was lucky enough to be able to handle and enjoy this majestic animal. You could actually stick your hand under his wing and feel his heart BEATING! I was utterly humbled and totally understand why these birds were chosen as the symbol of our country. Anyways, I digress...... I just wanted to post a quick picture of me holding the Bald Eagle at the Harley dealer today. Quite an appropriate venue, if you ask me. It was a lifetime experience I shall cherish for as long as I live.

Did I rescue it??? LOL, really?
Um, no, I did not rescue the Eagle. But in exchange for a donation to help secure the existence of this bird rescue group, they handed me a glove and allowed me the honor of holding, petting and feeling the birds heartbeat. A truly amazing experience.
They eat my chickens. Buzzards with white heads.
Yeah, that's pretty much what birds of prey do. They eat fat, slow, stupid birds. Like chickens. Top of the food chain thing, I guess.
