My wife joined a women's club she was voted in and received her patch last week, to celebrate we went to Bikes Blues and BBQ on Saturday. It's practically in our backyard it's just a 100 miles over so we just went for a day this year. I thought it would be nice to find her a vest at the rally. Knowing what to look for in stitching and leather weight in order to insure she got a quality vest rather than a piece of Pakistani junk, we spent a lot of time looking at vests. (I don't have one, nor do I belong to a club so never had a reason to look at them previously)

I can't believe the massive amount of vests with already sewn on patches of all the common stuff you see, I realized about 35% or more of the guys I saw wearing vests were wearing off the rack with all the requisite badass sayings and patches pre installed. Available for 29.99 from several vendors on Dickson street.

In the mean time we scored a Vanson womens vest for her, not cheap but still reasonably priced.

When your wife joins a club, do you become the ol' man?

Are you required to wear a property patch?

 

I am not in a club, nor do I know anyone that is -- so excuse my ignorance. But isn't your vest and more importantly, patch, somewhat sacred to a club member? How do they end up used and for sale?

 

The patch vs a patch, like the original DILLIGAF patch, or something that states you're tough and like to fight, such as "Does not play well with others".

 

 

My Uncle just gave me a vest yesterday, just says Harley on it though so I'm not a tough guy yet.

 

No "DILLIGAF" patch, but it does have "Live to Ride" on it twice, so that makes up for it.

 

Maybe they're too lazy to look for patches and too lazy too sew them on.
