Default Not riding in today with 12 " of rain yesterday

12 inches of rain yesterday alone and still pouring outside this morning. The building where my bikes live is leaking pretty bad from under the door. Got old towels and a fan helping. Some areas around the midlands got over 20" yesterday. The problem now is 20 mph winds with saturated ground. These big pines around here dont like that. We probably would have been better off with a direct hit from the hurricane, at least it would have moved on. I probably wont be riding for quite a while.

Suck it up candy britches and go ride!

I'm kidding, just tryin' to fit in! That does sound like a mess!
Not to mention (big and small) misc disturbed debris.

Got a little mod pile or maintenance list to run through maybe?

We escaped the brunt of it up here in the Charlotte area. I don't think we got more than 4 inches through the whole event. Storm pretty much wiped out Biketoberfest in Myrtle Beach this year.

12" shouldn't reach the A/C. As long as it's not still raining you should be fine. If it is, be sure to put a plastic bag over your air cleaner if it's an open design. I've been told on here, that's the only way it will work.

I hope you and your family didn't suffer too much damage from the storm.

Was at Cherry Grove and our house is on one of the canals. We woke up Tuesday morning with our vehicles sitting in 8'' of salt water due to Flood Tides, rain and full moon. You are right about pretty much wiping out the festivities. Although I did see some individuals riding their bikes through the pooling salt water, made me wonder if they knew it was salty.

Around 6-7" here in Greenville, roads aren't bad in most places but there's a LOT of debris from the winds...fortunately, any standing water here is fresh, but muddy. I was in KY for the worst of it, was worried about the house and bikes, but everything seems to be okay.

Y'all in the midlands and coastal areas stay safe...crazy storms, man...crazy...

Your rain sounds like what we were getting in May...the whole month.
