I never go to Mexico, I don't like it, but a good friend of mine, Bill Kennedy, of Kennedy's custom cycles, goes down every year. He loves it and says its a blast, and beautiful. Its a good long ride, 650 I think, just be very careful, mind your own business, and stick with your group. He says the cops keep an extra eye on everybody to keep them safe. I think the cops are one of the bad guys, myself.

I used to go to Rocky Point. But with relations between our countries the way they are and the cops are mostly criminals, I will pass. You will prolly have a bunch of fun down there, but know you are a split second of having your bike jacked and any slight slip-up will have you in a nasty jail with no rights. Too many great places in the US to ride...

I want to go on a Mexico ride one year but I can't see doing it without someone from there. My friend got beat up by cops who then robbed him, and left him in the middle of nowhere. Mexican cops see Americans and also see dollar signs.

I'm not riding by myself. Meeting a friend in Az and riding in with his MC. They've been down there to this rally a few times. I'll bring some extra funds to bribe the cops. I appreciate all the advice. I'm not overly concerned about riding in Mexico with it being a rally and the hundreds or thousands of people that are riding in together. I was really just wondering if anyone else from the forum was going.

Well went this year, had a great time. Didn't buy insurance, either. Crossed the border at Mexicali on the way in, just waved us through. No hassles riding through Mexico, felt safe.
Rode through the border at Gila Bend on the way home, easy getting trhough, no hassles.

Do you guys have passports? I assume they're mandatory these days.
