3 this year, too many
In January Mitch Hanna, FF/EMT with Horry County, was killed while out riding.
In May Mike Kunde, FF/Paramedic with Georgetown county, was killed out riding.
2 Weeks ago Jenny Hannah FF/EMT with North Mytrle Beach, and Volunteer FF/EMT with Horry county was killed out riding.
Jenny Hanna is the wife of Mitch Hanna, she had rebuilt her husbands bike and was riding it. She was killed in the same area as her husband.
3 Fire/EMS funerals this year, too many.

Yeah it's awful, here we have a couple hundred firefighters, a hundred or so paramedics, and a couple hundred EMTS. So everyone has met or worked with everyone else at one point or another. Plus in that same time span there were also quite a few non fire\ems motorcycle fatalities. The majority of cases, the driver gets the usual failure to yield ticket and goes on their way.
