Default Oil cooler or Forward control?

I got enough money for one or the other I dont know what to get: oil cooler or forward control

If you were in my shoes which one would get the oil cooler or the forward control?

I am rocking a street bob with mid control and i live in a hot *** city I need the oil cooler more than the forward control but the forward control would be much more relaxing to ride on !!!

How cramped are you in your current setup? If you are contorted, you're not going to be able to handle your bike safely. That trumps comfort.

If you ARE able to comfortably sit and utilize all controls, just not up for longer rides, I'd lean towards the oil cooler personally.

Definitely the oil cooler. I had an 09 Superglide with midmount controls and fwd pegs that I regrettably got rid of. So I picked up a used 14 this past spring. It has fwd controls, which I thought would be OK since I typically road the previous one with my feet on the pegs. Come to find out the midmount controls with fwd pegs was much more versatile, and fun to ride. So now I'm saving up to go back to midmount controls.

Oil cooler first. It will add life to your engine & save you money in the long run.

I won't add the oil cooler until I upgrade the oil pump, that's just me. A lot of folks do and swear by them though.

I have a street bob, I would suggest you keep the mids and get highway pegs, and you can afford the oil cooler too. You can still shift and brake from the highway pegs with your heel.

Take care of the equipment first, comfort second.
If the first part is neglected or stressed, the second part could get worse (walking).

Definitely this ^^^ but if I can throw in my .005 cents, I just got forward controls for my Iron and the change was incredible. I'm only 5'11" but it's so much more enjoyable/comfortable now.
