Fellow Riders I've been considering changing my screaming eagle pipes to true duals but i have some concerns about the heat from the left pipe...Any Suggestions?

Welcome to the forum from Texas.

Heat from the left pipe with true duals is a popular topic. You may glean some ideas from these links

Mazz do you think your lack of an heat issue has anything to do with having the bike tuned properly. I just don't understand how some can have an issue with the heat off the left pipe and others don't. I want to change to the Dual i think they'll look great on my fatboy I'm just hoping to make the right decision the first time

Not having a left pipe I have to ask...why would the left one be hotter than the right one?

With dual crossover the left pipe curves upward and at stops when you put your foot down it"s close to your leg and from some comments you can really feel the heat. I don't have duals now however I'm considering buying them

I'm guessing up and over the top of the primary an inch or 2 from the inside of riders left leg, worse when your leg is down at a stop. I would think a ceramic coated pipe would be appropriate.

But wouldn't it only be hot at a light? I had upsweep fishtails on my panhead and never was bothered by the heat.
