Default Air cleaner cover

Last week i had a stage 1 done on my electra glide. I am wanting to replace the football cover with one with better flow. Need one with some protection as I ride in all types of weather. Looking for some ideas on which cover performs and protects. Thanks for any and all input.

A football cover with a Stage 1 will flow plenty of air, provide the protection you're looking for. For me, the only reason to get rid of a newly-opened up (back side) football cover would be because you prefer the looks of something else. I have a bias though ... Long-time football fan. Enjoy the 'Glide!

As long as you have a stage 1, the cover wont make any difference whatsoever.

Exactly, the Stage 1 back plate and filter is designed to hold the cover away from the back,, there's a large free flow access around the entire perimeter. A different cover will not increase air flow, it already has all it needs or could use.
If you'd like a different look great, but it ain't gonna gain any more free air, the design has it maxed out.

Just got my bike back from the dealer yesterday from getting it repaired after hitting a deer. I went ahead and had a stage one done while in the shop. I told them to leave the football on because I like it, but when you peek around the back it's wide open.

Yikes, sorry about the deer dance ... Hope you're all right. But yeah, that's the point I was making. A football on a Stage 1 is open all the way around. You can reach in and touch the air cleaner element if you'd like, but damn tough for rain to do so. Air flow for days!
