Here are some brake pads that came off a bike that was ridden into the shop last week.











I laughed when I was this!

I showed it to a few guys, they thought it was cool. What say you?

I don't think those can be called pads anymore. What did the rotors look like? I like that kicker!.... too expensive for something fake though.

I wonder what finally topped off the dude that his brakes finally need replacing?

Still got the crankpin from my Shovelhead, with a .030" deep groove worn in it (@ 149,000 miles on the odometer).
I was on the road, and still one state away when it became apparent. It still took me home without incident.
My brakes never looked that bad though.

You're giving him too much credit, .....he most likely took it in for a straight forward oil service.

Metal on metal works very well till you are out of metal, destroys rotors but works very well. Most of us would cringe at the sound though.
