Default Adhesive question...

Hey forum, just want to ask here if there is a really strong adhesive out there that won't weaken while riding... I have a small 1 inch by 2 inch module that can only be mounted by adhesive. No way to get a tool where it's going. Can't relocate it either. Any suggestions??? Thanks in advance for any replies...

Can you do adhesive AND something else, like a zip tie? All kinds of colors and materials.

The led's I put on my upper fork tubes are essentially held on by 3m adhesive tape BUT with the added protection of being on a "zip tie". So if the adhesive fails with will fall, but not fall OFF.
Course the led strip is SUPER light, don't know how heavy (or where) this module is.

3m double side tape with the red peel off. Just clean surface well with rubbing alcohol. Factory tank nameplates and reflectors are stuck on with double side tape. My front fender trim is fastened that way as well.

Does it need to be removable ? Is so Goop has a few very good thick non running adhesives that will bond a bowling ball to the ceiling and with some work it can be undone, if it's permanent hard to beat JB weld. Like several others have mentioned it's all in the prep gotta be clean , grease & wax free. Alcohol works pretty good and won't bother anything else or paint. Used both on bikes for many applications over the years.

You'll want to use 3M VHB tape, its very strong and gets stronger over time. You want to clean both surfaces with alcohol before applying, and I found it's best if you apply it at temperatures over 50 degs F. You can find it at Ace Hardware. http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...s/3M-VHB-Tape/

Very limited information as to location, type of module, weight, exposure to heat or elements etc.
Basically all that is known is that you want to stick something someplace.
Generally a module is a replacement or service item.
Anything used to hold it should allow for removal and replacement.
As a guess the 3M double sided tape product might work in a general application.
