I've bought a ton of stuff from Boardtracker (Formally Kutter) HD. They used to have a $99 minimum for free shipping. Went to order some stuff last night and saw the minimum free shipping is a $250 order. 150% raise. wow

 

Sounds like you need to order more parts.

 

So you're trying to put the blame on Boardtracker HD when the real issue lies with the shipping companies? It's the fees being charged by Fed-Ex, UPS, and the USPS that are to blame not Boardtracker HD.

 

....or they could give free shipping and raise prices. Either way the customer is paying for the shipping somehow. Not to mention you just may have another reason to buy more parts.

 

My post was more of a "heads up" to others than a bitch session. Was just surprised they jumped to that much of a raise. As for shipping charges, I buy and sell a LOT of parts and ship them, my experience has been that the biggest rise in shipping costs is for the individual NOT the companies that ship lots of stuff. That's why UPS asks if it's a business or a residence when you ship something. They charge more for Joe Average to ship stuff than a big company per item.

 

Their offer of free shipping for $99 and above is a limited time offer when they decide to do it.Their last special ended on March 31st.Most all on-line discount Harley dealers have the same specials from time to time.

 

Jon at Horny Toad usually beats their prices by a little. With shipping it can be a little more but Jon's customer service is great and have never had any problems with questions, hard to find parts, or returns. I have bought thousands in parts from him!

Just an alternative and I have no ties to him/them.

 

Appreciate the heads up. I'd been thinking of ordering a set of fitted saddlebag liners from them,their price was the lowest with free ship. Now I'll need to shop around.

I sell stuff and ship it all over the country.
Last couple of years, the shipping prices have went up dramatically.
I just shipped a wheel/tire 250 miles, cost me $38.00, UPS.
Used to, you could ship to west coast for that.
