Default Lane Splitting

Just wondering for you Cali riders if your able to lane split with bags on your harleys ? When ever I watch videos of people doing it they seem to have skinny stripped down bikes

Yes, but you aren't as nimble -- at least I am not as nimble on my CVO Ultra as I am on my softails. Ron 😎

It depends on the car, truck and bus drivers, usually I have room, but sometimes they crowd the lines, whether that is intentional or not, is open for discussion.

As said, if my batwing fits, so do my bags.

It is odd tho..... when I'm sitting in my car that gap between the lanes looks like you could drive a Hummer through it. On my bike, the exact same gap looks 2' wide

I see it done all the time. I'm sure it requires careful consideration.
