That first one would get knocked off in a turn for sure.

For a Heritage with floorboards, I like the "middle pic" best.

The pegs sit just forward of the floorboard, and not "skewed out" too much.

You can either put your toe on them (keeping the heel on the floorboard), or stretch out a little more if you want.

I use a similar setup on my Road Glide, with the highway pegs "moved down" from the position most folks put them in. They work almost like a "forward extension" of the floorboards.

I have the Kury MIV extended mount. My floorboards hit the pavement before they do. I find them comfortable and minimal. if you want to protect the bike from a drop/slide then maybe invest in the bars.

Here's my setup and may help with some ideas. I've done some tweaking here and there which the hardware and bars I went with allows for many different configs. HD nostalgic engine guard, HD 360 mounts to the bars. I went with slipstream mirrors down to the boards.

I had the ones shown in the first pic. Had them on both of my Street Glides. Worked great and were comfortable.

Personally, if I had to have them, I'd pick the one on the right.

I used the ones in the second pic on my heritage Springer. I didn't want an engine guard on it and I'm 6'3" so they let me stretch my legs out.

I was searching for form and function between the 3. Your input has helped, thanks.

Not sure how you figured that. I have something very similar and the way it's mounted makes it higher that the floorboard. Plus, the pegs pivot if needed.
