Anyone else NOT test ride their bike before buying it?
I bought my 2014 Switchback at the end of February. After riding a bunch of different models (except the Switchback), I had decided on a 2015 Heritage Softail with 100 miles on it. But just so I could make sure I wasn't making a bad decision, I took my wife out to lunch and after a few beers decided to go back to the dealership and buy the Softail. In the two hours that I was gone the Softail was sold. As we were leaving to go, I spotted the Switchback. I sat on it and was sold, but I couldn't test ride it because it was raining by then. I looked at my wife and said, "this is the one." She looked at me and laughed and asked, "why didn't you ride this bike two weeks ago when I first pointed it out to you?"

I didn't test ride my Blackline when I bought it because they I knew it's what I wanted. But, when I was rear ended on it and was waiting for the parts to come in, I wanted my wife to see how a Breakout rode. I had already ridden one, a long time before this.
Well...3 hours later, we were signing the papers. I'd had enough waiting for the parts and I'd always wanted a Breakout since they came out.

I had never ridden a Harley before buying my 2014 FXDL. I've always ridden street bikes in the past and didn't quite know what to expect out of a larger, lower bike, especially a cruiser, but that didn't stop me. I sat down on it in the dealership and said let's sign some papers and take my money. Very first ride was 200 miles and I have to say, I will never regret my purchase!
