So many things are posted about bad dealer experiences, I thought I'd share mine from today. Went into Huntington Beach HD, here in southern California to have new tires installed. At a recent bike night, a girl handing out goodies said mounting tires was $49 per wheel, dismount, mount and balance on the bike. The service writee, Bryan, said the quote was supposed to be for tires purchased at the dealer, but said since the girl never clarified it, he was happy to give me that price on the Dunlop's I purchased from Revzilla. Arrived at 9:00am and waited 2 1/2 hours, drinking free coffee, and my tires were done. $98 total! Great dealer on each and every visit, even just to drink some coffee. Highly recommended!

 

That's how you do business. I know of dealers in my area that wouldn't install tires that they didnt sell. As far as I'm concerned, you scored.

 

You can't beat that, good on them.

 

What he didn't tell you is the girl who handed out the goodies paid the difference.

 

$98 for both, on the bike is pretty good indeed. Especially for a bagger.

Nice way to do business. Gets that repeat customer and word of mouth and in the long run more than makes up for it.
