Default Question about denim paint

What's up fellas. I'm looking to trade my Honda magna 750 in for my first H-D street glide and I had a question on if there were any real down sides to denim paint. I'm looking at a charcoal denim bike but I've never had a matte finish before.

The only downsides I've seen so far will be the jealousy & envy you'll receive from your friends once they see you pull up on it......

Downside? Yea; it looks like CRAP!
Looks unfinished, too "trendy",too faux "badass", and hard to keep nice. And, for less paint, you pay more money. I think it's silly. But that's just me.

My father in law is the only one I've seen with a denim actually out on the street. I just see too many with vivid black I wanted something different

Yeah I just don't see how denim black is a "bit overplayed" when they've been putting out Gloss Black HD's since the company's inception....... Hell when you think of HD how doesn't Black & Chrome come to mind??

Don't get me wrong I like it. In fact my wife loves it. But I think the difference of gloss black is that it is in fact, classic. I worry that denim will be like 8-tracks one day.

And I swear it feels like everyone around here is on a denim Street Glide with ape hangers. Which ultimately, who cares it is your ride get what you like.
