Sporty's are great, which is more than can be said for that article! Too many failings to read it very far. Loved my shovel and twincam, even more so my wonderful Evo.....

read that article years ago. Sporty's a good bike, that article is pure diatribe though... ride what ya like, the difficencies are easy(though not always cheap) to rectify

Have to agree, that article is mostly BS. The guy who wrote it has an axe to grind for what ever the reason. I ride a modified 1250 Sportster and wouldn't ride anything else, it just fits me, and I'm 6'2" 230lb. Many will say you'll want to "move up" to a real bike when you get tired of the Sportster. Not me, I don't like riding a land yacht, too big and bulky. But then I like something a little more nimble and quick. But that's me, you buy what works for you.

That article mentions 2014 engines, not exactly "years ago"?

Sounds like you didn't read the article at all.

He probably edits it each year, but it's been posted here probably once a year for quite a few years. I didn't have the time for a lengthy search, but there's a link to thread from back in 2013 which links this same article.
