Default Is Kelly Blue Book best for motorcycles?

I want to sell my 2011 Limited but need to get a true value of its worth. Is Kelly a good source or is another site better. I wonder what Harley uses. Thanks.

The books can be a good start point but I'd be looking at what similar bikes are selling for in your area. Talk to the dealer and see what he'd offer for a trade-in and go up from there. If you've got a good dealer, one of the sales guys may be willing to give you what their resale price would be for your bike.

I think NADA is better. Find the low value, forget about any extra $$ for chrome or accessories, and go from there. Selling a used bike is not easy in your $$ range. Lots of Harley's for sale, lots of people with no $$, and the dealer has a huge advantage being able to arrange financing. Consider the rider to rider HD financing.

Good luck, it won't be fun.

Good Advice and thanks. I know i won't be fun. I might work the best deal possible with the dealer and be done with it.

If you are in the market for a new bike, or a newer than your's bike, I would shop some different dealers. Have to get the out the door difference to really know what you will be paying. With so many, prep fees, processing fees, bs fees, you have to know the bottom line. But when it is said and done, you save yourself a lot of headache trading, a lot of wasted time, and a lot of people coming to your house and seeing what else you might have in the garage.

Good luck. Enjoy, ride safe.

All dealerships and lending institutions use NADA.

There is no one source for pricing, too many variables. Use several, then look around the area your selling in and get an idea what they're going for. Mods and low mileage dominate as long as your price isn't outrageous.
Scenario back when I was lookin for a Deluxe last year. Lady had a '14, midnight blue, fuel pak, true duals, LED's all around for 18.5 and only 3600 miles. Offered her 16.5 cash. She got irate, I saw it listed last week Tampa Craigslist for 13.5. Had 12 sittin around today I'd flash it on her see if she got irate again or took it.

To get a true value of its worth is count the money that someone has given you.

Everything else is just speculation.

Something is "worth" only what someone is willing to pay and someone is willing to accept.
