Default Best Wife Ever

I can't help but sharing what my wife said last night. Word for word:

"I can see now why you have to have more than one motorcycle."

This is a woman who, now that we're empty-nesters, got her endorsement and her own bike last summer, then we took the three-wheeler class together in the fall, then we got a sidecar rig in January. Now she's thinking of upgrading from her starter bike, a Suzuki S-40.

Furthermore, today she said, out of the blue, "You know, we really don't have a two-up bike for longer, faster rides together in a group."

I agreed that neither her pocket cruiser, my Sportster, nor our Ural are great choices for that mission profile.

I observed that the Indian demo truck would be within reach later this month and that it would likely have Springfields on it. She said we should check it out.

Back in 2000, when I was turning 40, I said to my wife that I would like to buy a Harley. Her exact quote was "you can have all the toys you want when I get my swimming pool". The in ground pool went in that summer and I have never asked when buying, trading, upgrading, etc. since that time. She's ok with it too, she said a deals a deal. Now on Harley #6 (sold the other 5), and have owned two sports cars (sold).

I'm not knocking your choice, but beauty is solely in the eye of the beholder....

Yes, some of us are blessed with perfect wives. Whenever I mention that I'd really like to have a new whatever, she says, "well, why don't you buy one?" Makes life so much smoother. Her only "issue" is when I'm talking a new bike, and there is no more room in the garage - then she says, "well, buy one, but you'll have to sell something to make room." Going one step further, she has now ok'ed building a new house with a much larger garage.

IDK, that's nice and all, but unless the words "**** sex" come into play, the term, best wife ever doesn't really apply, IMO.

Way TMI .
I think my FLHTCUI is a great 2up bike. I would look at that before an Indian.
