Default York factory tour?

I think they call it the steel toe tour. Has anyone done it? If so is the tour worth the time and cost? Thanks

Me and my brother are leaving next week and this is one of our stops, I'll let you know how it was. Everything I've heard so far has been good, you just have to watch for the dates they are closed.

Very thorough tour. I thought it was great and worth the money as compared to the free tour. You go up and down every line instead of just around the outside.

They give you a pin and your ticket gets you $5 off at the gift shop, so you get some of the money back in that way.

I did it before moving away from VA last year for CA. I actually ended up with a second ticket which I offered free to anyone on the board that could make it but nobody was able

It was worth every penny. Some of the areas that they take you into that the standard tour doesn't go are plenty cool. I've not been to an assembly plant of any sort before and I was completely floored by the systems, technology, and people.

in short I thought it was Uber Cool, have fun!!

Did the tour a couple years ago, well worth the time and money. Very interesting to see behind the scenes.

Did the tour last year, really informative, and some of the recycling methods were impressive. I am in manufacturing and really understood a lot of the lean manufacturing process' they have gone through. Was most impressed by the robot dollies rolling on the floor. They will go to a recharge station by them selves when the computer senses low voltage. A trip to Around the Clock Restaurant just up road is very good and filling for the price.

Did the Steel Toe Tour two weeks ago. Yes it was worth it. Wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking a lot. They keep the tour moving. Think we were in there for close to two hours. I was surprised by how much robotic machines have replaced humans.
