2008 Interest Rates ?
I posted this in another section of the forum, but did not get much responce.
I am getting ready to trade in my bike and thought it would be a useful negotiation tactic to know what kind of deals other people are getting.
What kind of interest rate did you get on recent purchase of a 2008 bike?
How is your credit rating, trade info, length of loan etc.

Ah, my guess the reason you didn't get much of a response is because financing a vehicle is a personal thing...the type of deal that one person gets will have no bearing on what kind of deal you get. Your credit score will determine what kind of deal you get in regard to financing, not anyone elses. I would suggest getting a copy of your credit report and FICO score, then talk to some lenders...that will determine what type of finance deal you get... You already knowabout what the purchase price will be...MSRP, therefore you can use that as a starting point. About the only use of this forum for bike purchase would be the out the door price of a bike...which will vary greatly depending on state and/or dealer, IMO. Good Luck.

Yeah, I know what my credit score is, 760...I don't care who knows it.
Just trying to find out what the best interest rate I can get by talking to someone other than an H-D salesman.
Can't understand why people take such a question so personally, it's not like I'm asking them to post their names and SS# or anything.
If your credit is not so good or you would rather not say what kind of deal you got.....don't.

Car dealer here. With your Beacon score:
Best you'll get from the dealer is 5.9%
You may get 4.9% from your own bank or credit union. Diff in monthly payments between 4.9 and 5.9 on the amount of money you'll borrow is miniscule.

760 is considered Tier 1 with Harley. You should qualify for the lowest rate, 5.9%. You can't use this a bargaining tool, though. If the dealer says you qualify for that much, then that's what you'll get if you finance through Eaglemark Savings Bank, the bank that is actually HD financing.
