Is the problem with the lug on the kick stand or the other attachment on the frame?

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; The problem is on the frame. I had a machine screw threaded into the hole the first time it came off. Now the hardened steel screw is broken off in the hole on the frame. Should I weld a washer onto the frame. Right now I have it secured with a bungie cord which is dangerous....

Back in the day, would have just easy-outed the broken screw out of the frame hole and put a better bolt w/ a&nbsp\\;wide head &amp\\; flat washer&nbsp\\;in there and back on the road.&nbsp\\; But, holes in frames can be kind of funny... the temporary machine screw could have started some distortion or&nbsp\\;micro cracks.&nbsp\\; Think I'd visit your (trusted!)-shop and see what&nbsp\\;they say.&nbsp\\; May be a weld repair in order if it is suspect.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

I suggest you have a welder tack on something permanent\\; better than a screw, and safer, too.&nbsp\\; Good luck.
