&nbsp\\; My kick stand spring retainer broke off at the frame,, it is welded on, and no part at the dealer ... any ideas???

I read an earlier post about this problem how did it break off, The other poster said I believe H/D won't weld on a frame and was going to replace the frame, I supose the bike was still under warranty.

All that being said why not just weld another retainer on,it can't be more than a stud with a groove in it to keep the spring in place. Maybe a clevis pin can be made to work with a groove ground into it.

 

i welded a grade 8 bolt to my frame when it broke off...works great....
