Default '76 Harley (AMF) SX175 - Pricing???

Hey how's it going? I recently bought this bike and it's a real eye turner. Even though they say this was made in Harley's "dark years," it's a collectors bike nonetheless. New parts on it, new paint, electrical system, everything works and there are no problems . . . how much might this be worth? I will probably put up pics later but for now this is all my info on it. What do you guys think? Any questions please ask . . .

Man, I loved my '74 SX175. It was an awesome bike that never let me down, and was easy to work on. I was 16 at the time.

I have no idea what it would be worth. Especially since it's not in factory original condition. Still, if you could find factory tank markings for it, it would be quite a novelty now.

If you just recently bought it, the price you paid is what it's worth, if there was anyone else looking at it. I would assume the seller sold it to whomever paid him the most.

Check ebay completed listings now and then to get an idea of what they are bringing..

Are you looking for a price because you are planning on selling it? There isn't a large market for the single cylinder bikes made for HD in Italy, but they are always fun to put on display at a bike show. I agree with MNPG, eBay would be your best source for an idea what you can make off of it.

The last one listed on ebay had zero bids with an asking price of $899.

Very nice. Looks like a fun bike to ride. Be patient and you'll find the right buyer.

I have a 76 SS 250. I've had it since I was a little kid and it's priceless to me. I'm currently restoring it and I've found all kinds of stuff for these bikes on ebay. When I was looking for new tank decals I saw another SS 250 with a buy it now price of $6000. I don't know if it ever sold.

Like others have said though...it's only worth what somebody else will pay for it.
