Default Are HD brake banjo fittings 10mm or 12mm?

Going to order some Goodrige 'Ebony' brake lines from JPCycles. I need to know whether our banjo fittings are 10 or 12mm, does anyone know?

I think I remember having to use one of each size on my Sporty when I replaced the brake line - the brake fluid reserve side was a different size than the brake side. Call J&P Cycles tech line as they can tell you exactly what you need to order. Could also be old age setting in that is making me think this.

I might have just strolled out to the garage, grabbed a 10MM & 12 MM socket, and see which fit where.

I could be wrong, but I was thinking the sizes referred to the thread sizes not the head sizes, so I could not tell without cracking open the banjo bolts, which I didn't want to do till I was ready to switch the lines.

Depends on the bike. They vary based on year.

I don't recall ever seeing something like a 10mm bolt with a 12mm head. A 10mm bolt is a 10mm bolt and you use a 10mm socket or wrench to tighten or loosen it.

If you use a 10mm spanner or socket on it then it will 99% of the time be an M6 bolt(6mm metric)...as steveh says, the 10 refers to the thread diameter not the head size.
