Default Extended warranty

What is your opinion of the extended warranty? I can buy the 3 year extended for 999.00 with my new Fat Bob. Is it worth it and has anyone else used theirs? It seems pretty cheap for an extended warranty but i don't know much about what it will "really" cover or am I just wasting money. Any imput will be great. Thanks, Aaron.

If you buy it, you won't need it! If you don't buy it, you will need it!

If you buy it make them throw in the wheel and tire coverage for free they did for me. Get a nail in your tire free tire put on no charge bend your rim new rim to charge. Already used it once in first 14 months.

It won't be worth it if nothing breaks. But one major covered repair under the extended warranty and it will be.

I know, that didn't answer your question. Only you can decide how much risk you can live with.
I would bet though, that on average the cost of the warranty exceeds the benefits received.

I've bought it for my last two Ultras. Never used it. Personally, I won't buy it if there is a next time. Probably be the wrong move this time though! -------- OH WELL!

Do you work on your bike yourself? How many miles do you put on a year? Are you hard on your bike? I do most work on my bike, not hard on it and put under 10k a year.I wouldnt buy the warranty.Didnt need it for my 97RK and havent needed it for my 07 Ultra. If I planned on my bike needing major repairs that fast I would have bought something else.

screw the extended warranty!
take your $999.00 and put it in a bank account and don't touch it. If you need it for something that breaks after your factory 2 year warranty expires then you have the coin. If you don't need it, then look at the Grand you have to buy chrome, and a nice little something for the Misses
That's what I did.
