Default Seattle Cossacks Team Member Killed in Oregon Crash

Yesterday, a member of the Seattle Cossacks Stunt Drill Team was killed on his way to perform at an event in Redding, CA. The newspaper story is HERE.

If you've never seen them, they are a sight to behold. They ride old Harleys (the newest one being a '49). Great group of guys. You can find out more about them at www.seattlecossacks.com. Sad story indeed.

I've seen these guys perform and I'm surprised that any one of them would lose control of a bike. Must have hit a slick spot or leaves or something.

Exactly what I was thinking. They can ride one handed with 6 guys stacked on top of them.

Too hard to comment, not enough facts.
Prayers to all.

I read about this accident. And saw that it was a single bike crash where the bike was believed to have lost control. Surprising that he was a stunt rider..

It can be a rough part of the road, can be slick with the coastal fog creeping in and we have had some pretty chilly mornings lately.

This is so sad. I was on a road trip and watched my friend cross over, but thankfully the road was a slower road and the car that saw him from a distance stopped before they came together.

Its a real eye opener... Be safe out there!!!

Indeed very sad to hear, most of the guys are family or real good friends, condolences if any of them are here at our forum and reading,, I saw them perform at the H.O.G. Rally in Chattanooga in 05, beat any stunt team I've ever seen bar none.

We love and miss Al G., 30 years on the team, but his memory lives on "Long live the Seattle Cossacks!"
