My new 500 watt audio system.....0nly $85
A friend of a friend showed me a 250 watt, shark sound system(everything you need for tunes in one box) he bought for $250 but couldnt mount it because of no room on his bars for speakers....He offered it to me for $200.....which got me thinking....what would these items cost individually?.....I just ordered a pair of 3" x 3" 100watt bar mount speakers for $50 and a 500 watt mini amplifier for $35 (all off ebay).....I will mount the amp in my fork bag....run a jack from my Ipod shuffle to the amp for music source and Velcro it anywhere convenient.....mount the speakers on my bars and Ba-bang....I will have tunes.....I read mixed reviews online about the shark speakers.....I figure what the hell, It's only $50 to find out if they're crap....if they are i will just order some "polk audio" handlebar mount speakers for $150. Hell, a 500 watt sound system for only $85 bucks....its worth the price to see. Here pics of the amp and speakers....oh yea, and the amp has a fee pair of tweeters included. I'm not sure if they would be usefull as i have no idea what the dynamics of sound are at 70mph.

The more cheap stuff that comes in from China, the more people think they got a bargain. That amp is two channels but the RMS rating for clean power is far lower.
There's very cheap electronics for cheap prices and the amplifier picture I'm afraid is one of them.
Good electronics and stereo gear is not cheap. You can get good bargains, they're out there but there's a line between good and junk. Heck, a good 500 watt mono amp would cost around $300-$500. A good stereo amp that puts out around 200 clean watts RMS (root mean square) per channel is going to be in the $400-$500 or more.
There's definitely a difference in the components, build quality, and true rated performance for high quality amplifiers.
3" speakers can only do so much in that kind of enclosure.

like I said the shark (stereo system in a box) gets mixed online reviews.....you tube clips are all positive and seem very loud.....I have no doubt the amp isnt really 500w, but hopefully it will push 50-75w...The shark system amp boasts 250w...I doubt that number is accurate either....reviews of the shark here at hdf was not good but, I have seen enough you tube clips to question the reviews here at HDF....it's worth $85 to find out
