I know there are a thousand questions about amps and the recommendations vary. I was curious if someone was running a similar speaker setup and had some good experience with a good amp.
I am running the Titan II 6.5's up front and their BT649 6x9's in the rear.
Initially I ran the 6.5's off the soundstream PN4.520 amp. It rocked the front speakers hard.
When I setup the rear speakers and tried to use all 4 channels it died. I had the speakers for about 2 years before I had the lids and everything to install them. Thought it was possibly the speakers, turns out it was the amp.
The 6x9's are rated for 120 RMS, 240 peak. The fronts are 100 RMS and 200 peak.
I have the speakers hooked up right now without a amp just to verify they work and was pleasantly surprised.
The Biketronics amp is 180 RMS and 650++ for the four channel option.
Any amp recommendations? I was thinking about a mini amp option. A couple I was looking at are below.
1.) Soundstream Stealth ST4.1000D
2.) Sony XMS400D
3.)Pioneer GM-D1004
I am looking to stay under $200 for a amp. Thoughts?
The BT speakers are a love em or hate em relationship here. Big factor is also what amp to run them. None of the amps you mentioned will do the job. I would stretch the budget a tad and either pick up a good used 4180 off here or look into some heavier 4 channel options. There is a post just in the last few days that Gannicus made a small list of good amps that some will come close to your budget.

Agree with Slye. Curious to know where your amp list came from. None of those amps are sled friendly!!
With those speakers and a $200 budget. Go with the Soundstream PN4.1000D.
I was looking online at 4 channel amps, Class D. I came across the ones in my search as mini amps. I was contemplating running my speakers off 45-50 RMS amp possibly. My bike is stupid loud and spending money in a top dollar stereo feels like pissing in the wind. Thanks for the input. I want it to sound good, I may just go with another sound stream amp. It lasted 3 years, thats probably not too bad.
I also had tossed around the idea of relocating my amp to a saddlebag.
