I am looking for input on the rockford fosgate amp, for those who have one. I am currently running a pair of J&M 7.25's with a \Hog Tunes amp and HT tweeter pod in my 08 SG. The set up is ok, but looking for a crisper, cleaner sound, I know the amp I am running is holding me back. I'm wondering which model of RF amp is the best for the money. Input please.
The PBR300X4 should NOT be used with your J&M 7.25" speakers because it cannot handle a 2-Ohm stable load. This amp is only 4-Ohm stable and therefore not the perfect match. If you are willing to swap out your speakers too then it's a great choice.
There are other RF amps that will handle 2-Ohms although you will not be able to fit them under the fairing. You may have to mount it in a saddlebag.
Rockford and Polk Audio have been making mobile audio components for years. They know what they are doing. This amp and speakers are at 4 ohms matching. This is what I have been looking at myself. I hope this helps.
Also if you want to change speakers instead of the amp the rokkers sound much better than the regular JM 7.25", and John has been known to do exchanges.

How about a place for speakers adapters for the 6.5 speakers. and a wiring harness
And how does this sound next to the J&M stereo with the Rokker speakers.

I personally don't know about the J&M stereo with Rokker spearkers, but I have heard plenty of RF amp and speakers. They sound great. Very clear sound and no distortion at higher volume levels. very clean.
