do you use? Does anyone just twist off their filter by hand? That is what I did last time...I have a twin cam engine...

 

I got mine at the dealer. $20 or so.

 

I have the HD one. Sorry, don't know the part #.

 

I have a band wrench that fits onto the end of a 3/8" ratchet extension. I found the space between the filter and the cylinder too tight to unscrew the filter by hand, but the band wrench is perfect for the job.

You can always stick a screw driver in it twist it off.
Get ya some big chanel locks.
Oil filter wrench is a oil filter wrench wally world has them like $3.00.
Don' pay $20.00 for a harley one .

 

I bought mine at the dealer $20.00 billet aluminium. it works but it's kinda flimsy you can get a stamped steel one for the same price. I bought the aluminium one because It was machined and I used to be a machinist I still admire a nice looking piece of work. I don't know how they can make any money off of that, (China?)

when getting oil at autozone - I saw wrenches by the filters - all kind a sizes - 3.99 each

 

That's just like the one I have, except mine is black, isn't Harley branded, and I got it back in the early 90s from Snap On, when I was apprenticing to be an automotive technician.
